Before Novo, Ante Vujic started his first construction company at age 18. By 25 he ran a brokerage in Chicago with more than 500 apartments under management at any given time, and owned 54 units himself. He collected the rent, took the maintenance calls, and paid for what failed.
That's a different education than a construction career alone. A short-term rental takes a new occupant every few nights, none of whom own the consequences of how they treat the place, and it fails in a predictable order. Flooring goes first. Then cabinetry and hardware. Then plumbing fixtures. Every one of those is a place a builder can save money at handoff and hand the cost back to you a season later. Novo specs them high and installs them itself.
